Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a Non-Governmental Organization of international solidarity based in France. Founded in 1991, SIF is a non-profit and non-political organization that intents to help, to bring relief and to protect the lives of those threatened by natural disasters, armed conflicts or by economic collapse. SIF provides its help in respect of the cultural diversity, without any distinction of origin, religion or gender.

In response to the current crisis in the region, SIF is expanding its humanitarian response.

In view of this operation, SIF is urgently recruiting a head of mission (M/F).

The position is based in Amman (Jordan).


Missions and activities:

Programme development and management

Coordinate and control all programming aspects with understanding of key outcomes and strategy

Coordinate and control all programming aspects with regards to reporting issues within SIF locations in Region

Monitor and evaluate compliance of programmes

Work with the teams to make sure that programme objectives are maintained

Prepare guidelines and standards, including timely report and data submission

Provide on the job-training on assessment and needs feasibility studies at all locations

Ensure adherence to SIF and Donor reporting/logistical/programme management regulations and procedures

Ensure adequate reporting and documentation on all programme issues

Logistic and Security

Assist logistics team in preparation and management of procurement plans

Advise & agree on budget and implementation plan

Concert with logistics team compilation of  logistics information for donors to ensure timely and correct submission of required documentation

Support the logistics teams to monitor and evaluate safety and security situation and ensure adjustment of plans if and whenever necessary

Prepare and participate in assessments of new projects

Ressources and Financial Management

Outline the resource requirements for the Support of programmes and ensure that systems are in place for the effective management of resources

Ensure that effective and secure budgetary control of the programme’s finances and expenditures are established and maintained, in line with SIF financial procedures & guidelines

Monitor support project finances on a monthly basis

Warrant financial reports are provided on a monthly basis to SIF HQ office


Make sure that relationships are developed with government and partner agencies

Contribute to the promotion of effective coordination between, Government, UN, NGO’s and other bodies

Expérience Profile

Minimum of five years experiences, mainly in senior management role

Significant experience within an international NGO preferably with a focus on emergency and early recovery projects (like WASH, Shelter, Food/NFI distribution, Livelihoods)

Significant knowledge of humanitarian system, institutions and donors

Extensive knowledge and experience of project proposal and report writing

Langues parlées Fluent in spoken and written english.

french and arabic desirable

2 days of paid vacation per month
